Health & Veterinary Care

All puppies receive a complete wellness check from our veterinarian before going home. They will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Tails docked, dew claws removed. Each puppy will also go home with a detailed health record.

Puppy Starter Kit

To help your puppy adjust to their new home, we send each puppy with a starter kit that may include:

  •A small bag of the food they are currently eating

•Treat or 2

•A favorite toy

• A blanket with mom and littermates’ scent

• Helpful puppy care information

At Spaniels by the Bay, we believe raising great puppies starts long before they go to their new homes. Our puppies are raised in a loving home environment and are introduced to a wide variety of experiences during their first eight weeks of life.

Early Socialization

socialization helps puppies grow into confident, friendly, and adaptable companions. Each litter participates in our enrichment program designed to gently introduce them to the world around them.

Daily Human Interaction

Our puppies are handled and loved every day. They are exposed to different people, voices, and gentle affection to help them develop strong bonds with humans.

Sound Desensitization

To help prevent fear of everyday noises, puppies gradually experience common household sounds such as vacuum cleaners, music, doorbells, and kitchen activity.

Sensory & Surface Exploration

Puppies are encouraged to explore different textures and environments including grass, soft mats, carpet, and sand. This builds confidence and helps them adapt to new places more easily.

Early Grooming Introduction

Since cocker spaniels require regular grooming, puppies are gently introduced to brushing, paw handling, ear checks, and standing calmly on a grooming surface.

Outdoor Experiences

Weather permitting, puppies enjoy supervised outdoor time where they experience fresh air, natural sounds, and new smells, early potty training outside introduction.

Early Training Foundations

We begin introducing simple habits such as potty area awareness, short crate rest periods, collar and leash awareness, and responding to human voices.

We are always here for our puppy families. Whether you have questions about training, grooming, nutrition, or general care, we are happy to help throughout your puppy’s life.

You will also be invited to our invite only VIP family group where we share sibling photos, try to do meetups, post giveaways, and more.
